Ultrasound cleaning equipment varies from small table-top units, often found in dentists’ surgeries or jewellery shops, to enormous systems able to hold several thousand gallons, used in a variety of industrial applications. The selection or design of suitable equipment is essential to the success of all ultrasound cleaning applications.

The most simple application may merely require a simple heated tank cleaner, with the items rinsed in the basin or a separate container. The most sophisticated washing systems include one or more rinses, additional process tanks and hot air dryers. Automation is often added in order to reduce work and ensure the consistency of the process.

The biggest installations use submergible ultrasound transducers that can be installed on the sides or the bottom of washing tanks of any size. Submergible ultrasound transducers offer the most flexibility and installation and servicing peace of mind.

Small, self-braking cleaners are used in doctors’ surgeries and jewellery shops.

Heated tank washing systems are used in laboratories and for small batch washing requirements.
